Description Item Specs   Warrior Kami Samurai Katana Sword The Kami are objects and deities of worship in Japan. Influenced by Shintoism, the Kami can take the form of a "God" similar to the Greek Gods, or they can also be the embodiment of a natural occurrence such as the spirit of a tree of a pond. In Japanese the word Kami is honorific and implies a respect and nobility to the spirits. It is also interesting that Japanese Shintoism believes that this spirit lives in all living beings, including humans. This is a functional Katana protected by the Warrior Kami's on the Tsuba of the sword. The sword is well balanced with all authentic fittings, full tang design, and comes already sharpened. The Sword includes a Free Sword Bag. Overall Length:39.25 " Blade:Very Sharpened Blade Length:27.75 " Blade Material:High Carbon Handle Length:11.125 " Fittings:Copper Alloy & Brass Condition:Brand New Features Blade: The blade has been hand crafted of high carbon steel. The carbon has been hand hammered throughout the blade to give the blade a consistent hardness. A Bohi has been added to the top of the blade to better balance the blade and give audible feedback when the sword is swung. An aesthetic Hamon runs the length of the blade ending at the blade's Kissaki. The blade comes very sharp and full tang. Saya: The Saya of the sword has been constructed of wood with a black high gloss finish. A black cotton Sageo has been tied around a bright brass fitted Kurigata. The Koiguchi has been hardened via lacquering. Tsuba: The Habaki is a one piece brass construction secured by a brass Seppa. The Tsuba is solid copper alloy with two guardian Kami on the blade side in relief. On the opposite side of the Tsuba is a Japanese Palace with two cranes in flight etched into the copper alloy. A golden brass Seppa secures the Tsuba to the Tsuka. Tsuka: The Fuchi is blackened steel with a silver crane in relief on either side. The Tsuka is wooden over the tang of the sword. Authentic Same has been wrapped over the wood with black silk Ito over the Same. The Kashira is a chinese lion.
