Description Item Specs   The Munetoshi Raiden T-10 Katana Samurai Sword with Bohi is a handforged and handcrafted sword specially made for iai and batto. The blade is forged out of T10 high carbon steel and differentially hardened to produce a midare hamon on the blade. This sword also features a full length bohi, and with the balance point being so close to the hand, it handles amazingly well, however it still has enough weight to be able to cut through light and medium targets with ease. The tsuba is a highly detailed depiction of the Japanese lightning god Raiden and features gold accents. Features Blade: The blade has been constructed of differentially hardened T-10 steel and has an authentic midare hamon with an O-maru boshi. It features full length bohi and crisply defined yokote and ikubi style kissaki. Saya: The saya of the sword is wooden with a black high gloss finish and bull horn koiguchi. The sageo is made of thick black cotton and tied over brass shitodome. Koshirae: The habaki is made of brass and features a two groove decorative pattern. The tsuba is a highly detailed depiction of Raijin or the Japanese lightning god. The fuchi and kashira are made of steel and are made in the Higo style for maximum comfort. The tsuka has genuine white samegawa ray skin with black chemical fiber ito which is tied in hineri-maki with hishigami (paper inserted underneath the hand wrapped), brass ken (straight sword) menuki, and double pegged with smoked bamboo.
