Description Item Specs   Due to its short range, the Blunderbuss never saw much wide spread use on the battle fields of Europe. However, on board a ship, in close quarters, this weapon was devastating. Due to the power of the Blunderbuss the stock was held against the hip or the forearm as the kickback could easily dislocate a shoulder. This Flintlock was like the shotgun of the 18th century. *Note The stock of the blunderbuss no longer have the dragon.  It comes plain on both sides. Overall Length: 28.5 " The stock and fore stock are dark stained wood. The trigger guard is ornate steel. Features THIS PISTOL DOES NOT FIRE ANY TYPE OF PROJECTILE, NOR CAN IT BE EQUIPPED TO FIRE ANY TYPE OF PROJECTILE. This item is in 100% compliance with Federal Laws. This is a replica of a fire arm produced before 1898 and therefore is not required to have an orange marking. The Flint Mechanism can be locked back and released by the trigger. The Flint Mechanism is decorated with complex scroll work. A beautiful steel dragon decorates the Stock, giving the Flint Lock its name. The barrel is a Blunderbuss design with a steel construction and engraved design on top of the barrel. The Flint Lock includes a wooden wall mount plaque.
