Description Item Specs   This is the Medieval Large Round Riveted Chainmail Shirt Flat Ring Half Sleeve 18 Gauge Stainless Steel. Chain mail is one of the oldest forms of Armor, dating back to the mid 1st millenium BC. It was the armor of choice for many knights until the invention of plate armor in the 14th century. This chainmail shirt is a great functional piece of armor. Featuring 18 gauge stainless steel flat rings interlocked in a 4-in-1 pattern and riveted, this chainmail haubergeon is ready for action. The high quality sturdy construction make this a great piece to wear for reenactments and display. The chainmail is made of 18 gauge stainless steel flat rings. Each ring is riveted securely. Each individual ring measures about 0.35"/9mm in diameter. This shirt features half sleeves.
