Description Item Specs

The Jian is one of the oldest continuously used weapons in history. The Jian is 2,500 years old, and dates back to before the Three Kingdoms Era. The Jian is the hero's sword and is often refereed to as the "The Gentleman's Weapon", due its elegant design. It is interesting that for 2,000 years the Jian has been present at the bloodiest conflicts in China, and yet now the Jian is most closely associated with Tai Chi.
Features
  • Attributes of the Weapon:
  • Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from Spring Steel with a shallow ridge.
  • Scabbard: The scabbard of the sword is wooden with a dull black gloss finish. The drag of the sword is steel with a complex pattern of dragons. Engraved into the wood of the scabbard is a dragon and the ball of wisdom. A black and silver cord allows the sword to be hung at the belt. The scabbard throat is steel with Phoenixes
  • Guard: The guard of the Jian is the traditional swooped wing design. The center of the guard is a Kami Bat, with its wings extending into the arms of the guard.
  • Handle: The handle of the sword is wooden with a black finish. The pommel of the sword is an ornate Devil's face. Two yellow tassels have been hung from the pommel.

4 of 5 It's pretty nice May 1, 2009

It's a decent sword it's more for show though but it can be used but i don't recomend it for use because it's not full tang it's rat tail tang but it's good non the less and it's a very good sword for the price but when you get it you'll notice the tassels and hanging on but a nut don't unscrew the nut no matter what you do get a pair of plyers or a wrench that fits ans screw it on very tight untill it won't move an inch futhur and no problems should occur i use mine for light practice and show I hope it helped,P.S.It is not sharp.
