Description Item Specs   The Muscle Cuirass was first used by the Greek Hoplite. These early Cuirasses were plate armor constructed from bronze. When the Romans came to power they adopted the greek style of Cuirass for their soldiers. Further along in Rome's history the Cuirass was reserved only for the officers. As the power of the Empire grew the Cuirass became more ornate with animals, stories and mythological deities decorating the armor. Interestingly no original Cuirasses have been recovered from this time period. Although, there have been Greek Hoplite Cuirasses that have been recovered from the 4th century BC. This is a Spartan 18 Gauge Steel Muscle Plate Cuirass. Overall height:21" Overall Width:19" Material:18-Gauge Carbon Steel Weight:9 lbs Condition: Brand New Features -The Cuirass is constructed of 18-gauge steel Carbon Steel with an antiqued finish. -There are six leather straps that secure the Cuirass.
