This is the 18 Gauge Steel Plate Armor Classic Gorget SCA LARP. A gorget is worn over the shoulders and provides protection of the neck and throat and part of the chest and back. This gorget has a pointed shape and is basic in finish with no rivets and neck piece and comes polished. This style of armor was intended to deflect blows from swords, spears, clubs and went into disuse as more powerful ranged weapons were introduced to the battle field.
