The wire-brush hamon is in a notare midare pattern. The bohi is full length and helps to create an audible tachikaze sound when swung correctly. The blade is full tang with traditional construction. Saya: The saya features black gloss finish with a wood kurikata and long black cotton sageo. Tsuka: The tsuba is blackened brass with a crane design in mokko style. The fuchi and kashira are alloy with a crane motif. The tsuka features a single pinned mekugi and alloy flying crane menuki. The samegawa (ray skin) is genuine white ray skin with black cotton ito. The ito features alternating crossovers in a hinerimaki style.
