This is the Skyjiro Ronin 1070 Through Hardened Forge Folded Wakizashi. The blade is made of 1070 high carbon steel that has been forge folded for a total layer count of over 3,600 layers. The blade has a cosmetic hamon. The kissaki itself is a extended chu-kissaki with sharp yokote line. The blade is polished to a mirror finish. The habaki is solid yellow bronze as are the seppa, tsuba, menuki, and fuchi/kashira. The tsuba is a simple cutout design with texturing. The handle is wrapped with brown synthetic silk in hineri-maki style tied over black lacquered samegawa ray skin with gyakute or reverse mounted bronze dragon menuki. The saya features genuine buffalo horn koiguchi with premium black lacquer finish. This wakizashi has a great feel when swung with enough weight and forward point of balance to cut through medium to hard targets with ease, yet has good handling for fast direction change.

Features

Blade: The blade of this sword has been constructed with 1070 high carbon folded steel with a hand polished blade and is through hardened with a cosmetic hamon.
Guard: The tsuba is solid yellow bronze that is blackened with a cutout design.
Handle: Traditional Japanese style hineri-maki brown synthetic silk wrapped handle with real black lacquered samegawa and single mekugi pin with feather menuki.
Scabbard: Made of wood with black lacquer finish and buffalo horn koiguchi and thick brown synthetic silk sageo.
