This is a large size Round Ring Round Riveted style Aluminum Chainmail Coif with Aventail. It's light weight and made in authentic medieval style. Chain mail is one of the oldest forms of Armor, dating back to the mid 1st millenium BC. It is uncertain who invented chain mail but, either way, it was used in both Europe and Japan.

This chainmail coif is a good quality, authentic looking and light weight armor which is good for costume or movie. It is made with a V-face opening. Hundreds of 16 gauge round wire alternating aluminum rings are interlocked in a 4-in-1 pattern to form the coif. The V-face opening in the front offers great visibility, while the chainmail aventail covers all sides of the neck. When determining size for chainmail, be sure to wear all appropriate padding and clothes before measuring your size for chainmail.

Features

The chainmail is made of 16 gauge Round wire aluminum rings.
Each individual ring measures about 0.39"/10mm in diameter.
It features an aventail neck covering and V-face opening.
