This is a 39" Black Polypropylene Kendo Bokken Bokuto Practice Training Samurai Sword Katana with SCABBARD. The Bokken is a practice weapon for the Japanese sword arts. This weapon was used primarily for sparring and kata training. However, a bokken itself is quite an effective weapon on its own. In the hands of an experienced kendo master a bokken can be just as exact and devastating as an actual sword. In either case a bokken is essential for training in most Japanese sword arts.

This bokken features a 29.5" blade length with a 9.5" ballistic grip handle and is constructed from lightweight polypropylene material which is much stronger, durable and sturdy than wooden bokkens. It is closely duplicates a real Katana in length, size, weight, and feel and has the advantage of being virtually unbreakable, as well as remarkably stiff and cut resistant. It can be used for light and semi contact sword Sparring.
