This is the Ryujin T-10 High Carbon Steel Unokubi Zukuri Katana. The blade is made of T-10 modern alloy high carbon steel and features a gunome midare hamon pattern with light niku. The kissaki area features an O-maru boshi that turns back sharply towards the spine. The tsuka or handle is double bamboo mekugi pinned and has real samegawa or rayskin panels and is wrapped with black synthetic fiber ito with brass ken menuki. Featuring fittings with solid blackened steel Higo style fuchi and kashira, a blackened praying mantic themed tsuba, and a high quality black lacquered saya with red dyed samegawa partial wrap with genuine buffalo horn koiguchi, kurikata, and kojiri. This katana feels very lively and responsive in the hands and really shines when used on light to medium density targets such as paper, water bottles, and tatami mats. This sword comes in a deluxe display box and comes with a sword bag as well as a Ryujin certificate of authentification.
