This Fully battle-ready Bascinet with visor is a reconstruction of the late medieval 14th Century. The bascinet evolved in the early 14th Century from the cervelliere and was usually worn together with a chain mail shirt.

Its classic design featured an open-face skull cap with a visor attached to it protecting the face. At the bottom our reconstruction has drilled brass buttons where an aventail easily can be attached.

Visor can be removed using the slide pins.
Spring loaded locking clip to hold the visor down.
Includes vervelles and leather strap for aventail.
Padded webbing is adjustable and has been authentically stitched to the helmet.
Genuine leather liner and chin strap.
