Description Item Specs   This is the Skyjiro Ronin 1070 Through Hardened Forge Folded Katana. The blade is made of 1070 high carbon steel that has been forge folded for a total layer count of over 3,200 layers. The blade has a cosmetic hamon and is wider than normal blades. The kissaki itself is a geometric shaped extended chu-kissaki. The habaki is solid yellow bronze as are the seppa, tsuba, and fuchi/kashira. The tsuba is a cutout design and is comfortable against the hands. The handle is wrapped with brown synthetic silk with gyakute or reverse mounted menuki which are tied over black lacuqered samegawa ray skin. The saya features genuine buffalo horn koiguchi with black lacquered finish. This katana has a great feel when swung with enough weight and forward point of balance to cut through medium to hard targets with ease, yet has good handling for fast direction change.
