This is the US Navy USN 1860 Cutlass Saber Handforged Steel Sword with Sheath and Frog. This is an authentic reproduction of an 1860's style US Navy cutlass. This blade is hand forged from carbon steel and features a long fuller with a swedge cut towards the tip. The blade also comes unsharpened. The guard is a basket cup style made of solid brass for right handed use. The handle is made of wood that is wrapped in genuine black leather and bound by brass wire spiraling. The sheath is made of genuine black leather and is attached to a genuine leather sword frog for right hand carry.

*Carbon steel and brass can oxidize and rust. Regular cleaning and maintenance required on steel and brass parts.
