The blade has been differential harden like the shinken and hand polish to Iaito specs. It's thinner and lighter than the regular shinken. With a tightly wrapped tsuka and genuine samegawa rayskin, this is a great dojo sword for everyday training. This sword comes sharpened and it can be used for light tameshigir such as half mat cutting. We can take out the edge for without extra charge. Please put in your request when place the order.
